Nourish together
shabab gaza have been cooking for about 3,000 people a day.
Similar to Palestine, our food reminds us of beit (home) and connects us to our countries even from the diaspora. Cooking hot meals during this genocide isn't just about food, it's a reminder of how we resist and recognize the rights of Palestinians to have fresh and healthy food. Eating together is a gift and i'm honored to share my people's food with Gaza.
Many of the people we cook for and with have been forcibly displaced in their country and have lost their homes and family members. A plate of food made with love brings smiles, full bellies and hope
The US colonizes PR, tested bombs in Vieques before dropping them in Gaza, attack our agriculture and fund this genocide. Let's remember, "solo el pueblo salva el pueblo." My love for cooking and serving people are being put to use. Boricuas, I remember when disaster struck our country and the US refused to help ensure our people had access to food, as usual.
From Puerto Rico to Palestine with love
