Ancestral Patterns

In my pattern, each symbol reflects my Dominican and Puerto Rican identity, this pattern although unique to experience does live in a shared space with many other children of this wide diaspora of the Caribbean.

Guabancex, symbolizes transformative chaos and Caribbean resilience.
Yúcahu, son of Atabey, connects me to my Taíno heritage and respect for nature.
The Sankofa, from my West African ancestry, teaches the importance of learning from the past.
The sea motif represents the journeys of my ancestors, blending cultures that form my identity.
